French Courses

Palmer offers French courses from grade 8 to 12. We are going to introduce all of the courses and explaining what students will be expected to learn.

Grade 8:

 Grade 8 course content includes alphabet and basic pronunciations - speaking composition, numbers, greetings, basic verbs, simple adjectives, simple adverbs, preposition, and place. Student should have a good understanding of the French language and culture by the end of the course, learning the French language structure.

Grade 10:

grade 10 is the last year of junior high school, so teachers may increase the difficulty of the course to prepare students for future French courses. Grade 10's French course may also include higher grammar criteria.

Grade 9:

- Grade 9 course content: verbs in different tenses, more adjectives, more preposition, subject agreements, and pronominal verbs. Student should be able to start form basic conversations;

Grade 11/12:

Unlike the previous French courses, French 11 and French 12 are often joint together. The courses encourages independent study and student's own responsibility to integrate French language into their daily life; this may include consuming immersive media, such as movies, songs, and stories

Summary

Palmer offers French courses for everyone, whether you are new to the language, or fluent. Our Courses not only teaches student how to write, speak and hear the language, but also to learn about the French culture from the very start. Students are able to have fun during class with engaging activities and projects, encouraging them to use creativity while learning.

By the end of the course, student should be able to use French freely in their daily life, and to be able to communicate with friends and family in French.
