What is biology and what is taught
In Palmer, there is no clear biology class, but biology is a major component in grade 8, 9 and 10. While grade 11 and 12 have specific course like life science and human anatomy. In grade 11, student will learn more broadly about evolution, animals and plant. While in grade 12, students will learn more specifically about human organs and features.​
How are grades assessed
Students are generally assessed through quiz, test and projects. But some studet may find better success in handson activities like dissection.​
Why are students intersted?
Students take biology because it is required in their future progams like research, microbiology labs, or healthcare careers like nursing and medicine, or they liked watching videos of animals and organisms that they usually doesnt encounter.
How is biology impactful
Students can have a deeper understanding of their surrounding; the origin of objects and how plants/animals function.
